Ballmer Talked About the Google Custom OS
Confused why the Internet giant, Google, is developing two sets of different operating systems, you can listen to the narrative Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer in an interview at the conference coverage D8. On stage the annual technology conference that supported the Wall Street Journal, which was held in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., Ballmer discussed Microsoft’s competitors in the mobile industry. He says that Android is significant on the phone, although he was not sure whether it would be a big problem on other devices.
Speaking of other devices, Ballmer said he did not understand why Google has Chrome and Android. Chrome began as the operating system designed for netbooks while Android is targeted for mobile phones, but Google has a plan for them to spread, so there could have a netbook Android and Chrome. Microsoft is always striving to bring more coherence to their operating system. Ballmer wondered why Google started to be incoherent. Fortunately, Microsoft Chief Software Architect Ray Ozzie has the answer, “Android is a bet on the past, Chrome is a bet on the future.
Android is still about how to install applications on a particular device, OS Chrome is designed for the future in which online without restraint, in the cloud service. “Balmer was still repeating his statement that did confuse the two operating systems, and provide advice to Google: betting on one and pursue it. Not that Balmer felt too confident with himself, with Android and especially iPhone more shining than Windows. Ballmer said Microsoft has lost the lead and missed the entire cycle, but the team has been cleaned and Microsoft will run consistently on new ideas.
