  • On Digital and SLR Cameras

In this modern generation, digital cameras are the in-demand and must-have gadgets these days. Like the cellular phones, people sometimes view SLR cameras as not merely a want, but a need. Having your own digital camera will save you money from buying your manual camera’s films. This is because SLR cameras are digital, and therefore, they have their own memory storage wherein you can save thousands of photos. A digital camera can also save you time. If you have been using a manual camera, you would know that the film must be wind from time to time for you to able to use the next frame.

But, before explaining the use of SLR and digital cameras, what is the meaning of SLR?

SLR’s acronym is Single Lens Reflex. This means that the photographer will be able to see what the camera lens sees, unlike the manual cameras where one is required to look on its viewfinder to make sure that his subject is within his camera lens’ reach.

With the digital and SLR cameras, you can have high-quality photos because of their lenses’ large image sensors.

Action photography is one of the challenging genres of photography that photographers rarely take. Action photography requires a photographer to run with the runner, bike with the biker, swim with the swimmer and surf with the surfer to get the message of the subject. With manual camera, you have to follow your subjects wherever they go. You will perspire as much as they do; you will be tired as much as they do. But, with digital cameras, you can just stay at a distance while following the subject; for example, with your camera at a runner’s direction, shooting the action with ease is possible and you still get to produce a high caliber photo.

Digital and SLR cameras also have the autofocus system that gives their photograph a depth of field.

Focus is one of the reasons digital and SLR cameras are sought after.
